OUR COMMITMENT TO PRIVACY Shelfpay Private. Ltd.. (“Shelf”), knows that you care about how your personal information is used and shared, and we take your privacy seriously. Our primary goal is to provide you with exceptional service, and we understand that you may have questions or concerns regarding your personal information and how it will be used. To make this privacy policy easy to find, we make it available from home page of the Shelf website at shelfpay.in (the "Site") and through our mobile applications. You may also email us at admin@shelfpay.in with any privacy-related questions you have. APPLICABILITY OF PRIVACY POLICY This privacy policy applies to all information we collect through our web and mobile applications from current and former Shelf users, including you. When you are no longer our customer, we continue to share your information as described in this policy. Throughout this policy, we use the term "personal information" to describe information that can be associated with a specific person and can be used to identify that person. We do not consider personal information to include information that has been aggregated and/or anonymized so that it does not identify a specific user. By using the Platform, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. Whenever you submit information or avail any Services on the Platform, you consent to the collection, use and disclosure of the information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. We take the privacy of our users seriously. We are committed to reasonably safeguarding the privacy of our users while providing a personalised and valuable Services.
PERSONAL DATA WE COLLECT
Personal Data You Provide: We collect personal information when you create an account, link your bank account(s) to the service, enter into transactions with your Shelf Group Card, or send money to merchants through Scan & Pay. The personal information collected during these interactions may vary based on what you choose to share with us, but it will generally include your name, email address, phone number, bank account information (such as account/routing numbers and transaction data), and a log of the transactions you authorize through the Payments Platform and the Shelf Card. We may need to collect additional information, such as your address, zip code, date of birth and government-issued form of identification to fulfill our legal obligations related to providing the service to you. In addition, while you are using the App, we may collect your location information.
Data through the permissions you provide: Data you input in the course of signing up and using Shelf's services
1.Address Book Contacts: If you grant Shelf access to the address book on your mobile device, then Shelf may access contact information from your address book to facilitate invitations, create groups with your contacts through ,our Platform and for other purposes described in this Policy.
2. Camera: If you grant Shelf access to your camera on your mobile device, then Shelf will only use it to scan QR codes ( of external parties) and just use the integrated string in that QR code to facilitate the service.
3. Record Audio: If you grant Shelf access to record audio on your mobile device, then Shelf only use it for vibration purpose during the time of scanning through the camera, none of the user's audio is used or recorded or stored anywhere with Shelf.
Personal Data We Collect Through Our Social Media Pages: We have pages on social media sites like Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin and Twitter (“Social Media Pages”). When you interact with our Social Media Pages, we will collect personal information that you elect to provide to us, such as your contact details. In addition, the companies that host our Social Media Pages may provide us with aggregate information and analytics regarding the use of our Social Media Pages.
Personal Data We Receive Automatically from Your Use of the Service: When you visit, use and interact with the service, we may receive certain information about your visit, use or interactions. For example, we may monitor the number of people that visit the service, peak hours of visits, which page(s) are visited, the domains our visitors come from (e.g., google.com, yahoo.com, etc.), and which browsers people use to access the service (e.g., Firefox, Microsoft Internet Explorer, etc.), broad geographical information, and navigation pattern. In particular, the following information is created and automatically logged in our systems:

HOW WE USE PERSONAL DATA
SHARING AND DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL DATA
In certain circumstances we may share your personal information with third parties without further notice to you, unless required by the law, as set forth below:
1. Vendors and Service Providers: To assist us in meeting business operations needs and to perform certain services and functions, we may share personal information with vendors and service providers, including providers of hosting services, cloud services and other information technology services providers, email communication software and email newsletter services, advertising and marketing services, financial service providers (including payment card processors, banks, and API services) customer relationship management and customer support services, and web analytics services (for more details on the third parties that place cookies through the Site, please see the “Cookies” section above). Pursuant to our instructions, these parties will access, process or store personal information in the course of performing their duties to us. We take commercially reasonable steps to ensure our service providers adhere to the Security standards we apply to your personal information.

Business Transfers: If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing due diligence, reorganization, bankruptcy, receivership, sale of all or a portion of our assets, or transition of service to another provider, your personal information and other information may be shared in the diligence process with counterparties and others assisting with the transaction and transferred to a successor or affiliate as part of that transaction along with other assets.

Legal Requirements: If required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to (i) comply with a legal obligation, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements, (ii) protect and defend our rights or property, (iii) prevent fraud, (iv) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of the services, or the public, or (v) protect against legal liability.
Other users: Your personal information may be accessible to other users of the service with whom you interact. For example, where you create a group with other users (such as if you create a group to share expenses related to your Group Trip), the other users with access to the group will have access to the transactions you authorize within that group.
Affiliates: We may share personal information with our affiliates, meaning an entity that controls, is controlled by, or is under common control with Shelf. Our affiliates may use the personal information we share in a manner consistent with this Privacy Policy.
LINKS TO THIRD PARTY SITES
The Platform may include links to other websites/platforms. Such websites/platforms are governed by their respective privacy policies, which are beyond our control. Once you leave our servers, use of any information you provide on such Third Party websites/platforms are governed by the privacy policy of the operator of the websites/platforms you are visiting. That policy may differ from ours. If you cannot find the privacy policy of any of these websites/platforms via a link from the websites/platforms’s homepage, you should contact the websites/platforms directly for more information. It is reiterated that Shelf, for the purposes of pooling & payments will direct user to our registered Payment and Settlement Merchant. The Payment and Settlement Merchant’s systems meet the applicable security standards, such as for example PCI-DSS (Payment Card Industry – Data Security Standard). The Payment Data is stored by the contracted PCI-DSS-certified payment provider for recurring transactions. We do not store any information regarding payment details, including but not limited to Internet Banking, Debit or Credit Card details. All such information is submitted to such registered Payment and Settlement Merchant and you are governed by the Terms and Conditions of Use and Privacy Policy of such merchant. Shelf shall not be liable in any case of any loss of data, including financial credentials and its data, on such Third Party vendors or merchants. In such event you will hold Shelf harmless and innocent and indemnify Shelf for all costs whatsoever.
DATA RETENTION
We keep personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, while we have a business need to do so, or as required by law (e.g. for tax, legal, accounting or other purposes), whichever is the longer. ANTI-MONEY LAUNDERING POLICY
In order to comply with anti-money laundering laws that exist in various jurisdictions we reserve the right to report suspicious transactions to Central, State, provincial or local authorities and law enforcement agencies within those jurisdictions. In exchange for us permitting you to participate in, use and access our Platform and/or Services, you hereby grant us the right to report any transactions which we deem suspicious, as determined solely by Shelf acting in its sole discretion. Examples of a suspicious transaction include but are not limited to use of funds suspected to be derived from illegal activities, any suspected intention to conceal or disguise funds derived from illegal activities, or suspicion that the involvement of our Platform and/or Services is in any manner intended to facilitate criminal activity. If for any reason we are of the belief or become aware of any transaction which we deem suspicious in nature, we may without prior notice or explanation to you take the following actions, which are in addition to all other rights and remedies available to us under this Privacy Policy, at law or in equity:
1. Report such transaction to the applicable Central, State, provincial or local authorities and law enforcement agencies
2. De-activate or terminate your Shelf account and Services forthwith
3. Restrict you from registering a Shelf account on our Platform or with any of our affiliated Platforms/Business associates.
COMMUNICATIONS
1. We may contact you via the e-mail address and phone number registered with your Shelf account. You may also receive system-generated transactional e-mails such as confirmations, notification of receipt of payments, notification of password changes etc. which are necessary for the proper operation and administration of your Shelf account. You expressly consent to receive such communications from us, irrespective of whether your phone number is registered on the National Do-Not-Call Registry or Do-Not-Disturb Registry.
2. As a Shelf account holder, you will occasionally receive information by e-mail from us, unless you have expressly chosen not to receive such communication, about products, services and special deals which we think will be of interest to you via our newsletter. You can change whether or not you wish to receive newsletters from us. However please note that you will still receive communication regarding your Shelf account such as transactional e-mails or other notifications affecting the operation of your Shelf account or our legal relationship.
PHISHING
Phishing is the name given to attempts to steal personal details and financial account details from a Platform user. "Phishers" use fake or "spoof" emails to lead users to counterfeit websites where the user is tricked into entering their personal details, such as financial credentials, user-names and passwords. If you receive such an e-mail or are asked for your password by anyone claiming to work for us please forward the e-mail or report the incident by e-mail to us at admin@shelfpay.in.
USER CHOICE
You may choose not to provide us with any Information while accessing the Platform. In such an event, you will not be able to access and use those portions of the Platform that require your Information.
CONFIDENTIALITY AND SECURITY
Except as otherwise provided in this Privacy Policy, we will keep your Information private and will not share it with third parties, unless we believe in good faith that disclosure of your Information or any other information we collect about you is necessary to:

INFORMATION STORAGE AND BACKUP
We take a backup of your data on Platform on our Cloud database. This is done for the purpose of enabling users to get their data back in case their phone’s data becomes unusable, if the phone is lost, or the user moves to a new phone device.
INFORMATION SECURITY
We take appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorised access to or unauthorised alteration, disclosure or destruction of data. These include internal reviews of our data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures, including appropriate encryption and physical security measures to guard against unauthorised access to systems where we store personal data. All information gathered on the Shelf Platform is securely stored within the controlled database. Access to the servers is password-protected and is strictly limited. We use standard authentication using mobile no and OTP to issue JWT tokens to our users for establishing a secure connection. All the user data is transmitted via this secure connection, for other third party services we use authentication as requested by that third party service provider. Although we make good faith efforts to store Information in a secure operating environment that is not open to the public, you should understand that there is no such thing as complete security, and we do not guarantee that there will be no unintended disclosures of your Information. If we become aware that your Information has been disclosed in a manner not in accordance with this Privacy Policy, we will use reasonable efforts to notify you of the nature and extent of the disclosure (to the extent we know that information) as soon as reasonably possible and as permitted by law.
CHILDREN
Our service is not directed to children who are under the age of 13. Shelf does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you have reason to believe that a child under the age of 13 has provided personal information to Shelf through the service please contact us and we will endeavor to delete that information from our databases.
UPDATES/CHANGES
We may alter our privacy policy from time to time to incorporate necessary changes in technology, applicable laws or any other variant. In any case, we reserve the right to change (at any point of time) the terms of this Privacy Policy or the Conditions of Use. Any changes we make will be effective immediately. Your use of the Platform and/or Services after such notice will be deemed acceptance of such changes. We may also make reasonable efforts to inform you via electronic mail.
YOUR RIGHTS
You have a legal right to a copy of any Information about you held by us. You also have a right to correct any errors in that Information. We make no claims, promises or guarantees about the accuracy, completeness, or adequacy of the contents of Platform and expressly disclaim liability for errors and omissions in the contents of the Platform. No warranty of any kind, implied, expressed or statutory, including but not limited to the warranties of non-infringement of third party rights, title, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and freedom from computer virus, is given with respect to the contents of the Platform or its hyperlinks to other internet resources. The contents of this Platform are under copyright and/or trademark of their original author(s) unless otherwise noted on the page itself.
